Gia Designs, Designing the Outer You

Gia Designs, Designing the Outer You

START DATE: Jan 2008 to Dec 2008
THE BACKGROUND AND THE MISSION:
Gia is a leading image consultant whose business is to assist clients in developing their own unique styles. Gia’s distinctive gift creates a link between her clients’ internal identities and how they express this internal identity through what they wear to reveal their external images. Gia wanted to create a business that would take her to the next level of profitability and balance in her life. She hired me to build a plan and process with her. Our work together allowed her to achieve the result of building her own companymcuh quicker than if she did not go through this process.

The mission of Gia Designs is for you to define what you wear versus letting what you wear define you.

NSIGHT FOCUS:

To create a business that is not only profitable, but distinguishes Gia as a leader in the St. Louis personal style consulting market.

KEY STEPS:
Phase 1
The initial step was to help Gia develop the Gia Designs concept. This phase was unique because we created the concept from nothing. When we began, I was able to draw out Gia’s passion for style and help her transform this innate skill and talent into a tangible business concept, one which provides a more holistic approach to style consulting.

Phase 2
I went into Gia’s energy and pulled down information to create a framework to assess her clients, which is when we had fun defining her service and developing her product. Through our work, we created a proprietary five-step framework that allows her to take clients through a very thorough and unique process to identify their personal styles.

The framework includes:

  • Assessment-style Questionnaire: helps clients better understand their internal styles and match it to what they are projecting in the world.
  • Closet clarification: this purging process eliminates clutter and confusion and allows the client to commit to branding their own personal identity.
  • Shopping: Gia provides a very specific shopping list to fill in any gaps still existing in her clients’ wardrobes.
  • Pairing and logging: Creating looks that reflect the client’s newly defined personal style.
  • Follow-up and Seasonal Maintenance: Gia keeps a detailed file of clients’ specific information to refer to at any time. .

Phase 3
During this phase we addressed all obstacles or opportunities and adjusted belief systems and patterns, which is a process called regenerating practical thinking. I read her energy and placed her back in alignment with the highest form of energy available to her. I pushed her energy forward until her vision became actualized. I love this part of the process where clarification is given and the rational mind accepts it!
By continuing to do energy readings for her, I was able to help Gia navigate through her insecurities about taking her business from concept to market. This is a common phase for many people when they are creating a new business or concept because typically old patterns resurface and block us. The energy readings unlocked the unknown information in her belief system, which ultimately prepared Gia for the next stage of development: taking her idea and concept to market.

Phase 4
Gia took her concept to market! Her first year of business was exciting. This is what she accomplished:

  • 50 clients in her first year
  • Lead consultant for two fashion shows
  • One TV presentation
  • Freelance fashion consultant for the St. Louis Post Dispatch
  • Variety show fashion consultant
  • Featured in Sauce magazine
  • Featured in ALIVE magazine
  • Featured in St. Louis magazine

SYNOPSIS OF WORKING WITH GIA DESIGNS:

It was an absolute pleasure working with Gia. I’ve always been intrigued by the intensity of her energy and how she directs it in her life. She came to me out of frustration for her inability to find time for what she loved. Her life was a harried mess and it was starting to anger her.

Gia’s main energy was for her to do something she loved in her life. As we began to work on this process, she realized that she didn’t believe she could design a profitable business based on her gift of shopping and helping people look good. We integrated a new-found belief system and a deeper confidence so that she could generate a profitable business with her natural talents and abilities.

I love watching Gia in her life today. She is energized by her life. She is an inspiration with a purpose she can apply. What we did for her, she is doing for others—helping people fall in love with who they are.
